===AEW Dynamite/Collision 14 October 2026===

Wolstein Center, Cleveland, OH

RESULTS

  • Trios: DON CALLIS FAMILY (Wardlow, Mark Davis, Jake Doyle) def. DEATH RIDERS (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Gabe Kidd, Daniel Garcia) (with Marina Shafir) via pinfall, Mark Davis over Jon Moxley
    • Interference against Mark Davis by Marina Shafir
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match: "Rated R Superstar" ADAM COPELAND def. "Walking Weapon" JOSH ALEXANDER via pinfall
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match: "The Alpha" KONOSUKE TAKESHITA def. "The Machine" BRIAN CAGE via submission
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match for the AEW International Championship: KAZUCHIKA OKADA (c) def. MYRON REED via pinfall
    • Second defense of the AEW International title this reign by Okada, 11th all-time; improves to 13-1 all-time in matches for said title
  • Trios: Artist of Stardom Champions TRIANGLE OF MADNESS (Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue) def. AEW Women's World Champion MERCEDES MONÉ & DIVINE DOMINION (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) via pinfall, Thekla over Lena Kross
  • Tag Team: SAMOA JOE & TOMMASO CIAMPA def. UNITED EMPIRE (AEW Men's World Champion Will Ospreay & AEW National Champion Andrade El Ídolo) via referee stoppage, Samoa Joe over Andrade El Ídolo
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match: RICOCHET def. ACE AUSTIN via pinfall
  • Tag Team: HYAN & DANI LUNA def. TBS & CMLL World Women's Champion PERSEPHONE & DR. BRITT BAKER, D.M.D. via pinfall, Dani Luna over Britt Baker
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match for the TNT Championship: DARBY ALLIN (c) def. CMLL World Heavyweight Champion HECHICERO via pinfall
    • Fourth defense of the TNT title this reign by Allin, 13th all-time; improves to 20-10 all-time in televised matches for said title

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Walker Stewart is here on commentary!
  • Mark Davis picks up a huge pinfall over the Continental Champion just days before making his first challenge for the title at WrestleDream.
  • Josh Alexander focuses heavily on Adam Copeland's once-broken leg. You would think that leg would be stronger than it was before after healing. Maybe not, I guess.
  • Adam says after the match that 5 minutes into the ladder match at All Out, Christian Cage broke three ribs--one of them in three places--and a lung collapsed. He says it made him realize that he's getting older and announces that next year he plans to retire from professional wrestling, and now intends to chase the AEW Men's World Championship. DON CALLIS is now here with BRIAN CAGE and he is simply so happy because Mark Davis pinned Jon Moxley and he doesn't think Copeland will be seeing 2027, let alone Clockwork Carnage. He then gets jumped by KEVIN KNIGHT, KYLE FLETCHER, and LANCE ARCHER. Brian Cage hits the F'n5.
    • KONOSUKE TAKESHITA is now here with RODERICK STRONG, ORANGE CASSIDY, and KYLE O'REILLY to make the save. The Family powder, and there's a match on deck.
  • Renee Paquette backstage with the AEW UNITED EMPIRE. Everyone has words for the camera.
  • FTR come out to say some bullshit, the MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS come out, and they want a best of 5. That'll begin at WrestleDream.
  • BRODIDO and HANGMAN ADAM PAGE are backstage and Hangman's still being a baby bitch about Swerve Strickland, a man whose house he burned down, not being his best friend after he completely disappeared for months. Brody tells him to shut the fuck up and that the only way they're getting the titles back at WrestleDream is if they're on the same page.
  • Myron hits the No Cap Splash on Okada on the floor, but misses it twice in the ring and eats the Rainmaker. He falls to 0-2 against Okada
  • THE NEW LEVEL are backstage with PRINCE NANA. Swerve isn't here tonight, but he called in help from actor and comedian MOJO BROOKZZ. Mojo proceeds to call out Brody King and the New Level try to shut that down. Townhall segment here. Mojo tries to put over the match at WrestleDream, gets booed, and then takes a back bump for no reason. Mojo is doing ad libs for every person in the match Kofi names. Thank God for the New Level. That segment was not for me.
  • Skye Blue apparently does a Destroyer now. Julia also mists Lena Kross, and it allows Thekla to curbstomp her and win.
  • Ciampa DDTs Andrade from outside the ring onto the National Championship title while Joe distracts Bryce. It knocks Andrade out cold, and Joe puts in the Coquina Clutch for good measure.
  • Renee Paquette backstage with JON MOXLEY and the DEATH RIDERS. Moxley does not want to talk about the loss tonight, and he starts throwing shit and screaming. Renee goes into Wife Mode and asks him what's going on. Mox says he's in a lot of pain and when she asks what kind, he says he's not sure he can tell the difference. Marina gets down and tells him to keep his eyes up because the only way out is through. That gets Moxley back on his feet. Renee leaves with Marina and Moxley leaves with the guys.
  • NICK WAYNE and JERICHO have one more segment where Nick Wayne's genuinely over and Jericho genuinely isn't. They'll have a rubber match at WrestleDream, and if Nick Wayne wins, Jericho will apologize to him for being mean. Jericho kicks him in the nuts.
  • Renee Paquette backstage with TOMMASO CIAMPA and SAMOA JOE. Ciampa says he's left Andrade unconscious the last two times they've seen each other, and the same will happen at WrestleDream. Joe says on Dynamite, he gave everyone a preview of the future: at WrestleDream, he will choke everyone out and win the AEW title for the third time.
  • Britt has the Terrible Towel tonight because they're in Cleveland and it's free heat. Don't know why she needs more heat when she's got enough go away heat as is. Persephone gets on the apron with the TBS championship belt and tries to get in the ring, screams at Paul Turner for a bit, then nearly accidentally hits Britt with it. Dani shoves Britt into Persephone and bumps her off the apron, then schoolboys Britt to pick up the pinfall.
    • Post-match, Persephone and Britt attack Dani and Hyan, but QUEEN AMINATA makes the save, wildly swinging a leather strap of some sort--maybe a belt?--and Persephone and Britt powder. All three women in the ring are doing the belt taunt, and we find out that it'll be a four-way for the TBS title at WrestleDream.
  • We get a strange video package with a metronome, someone conducting a symphony, walking down stairs in nice clothes, and doing shuttles.
  • Darby's selling his left knee a lot tonight. Watching this in real time I can already tell this will somehow be the reason Hechicero loses this match.
    • Yeah despite a fucked up knee it does not stop him from hitting three consecutive Coffin Drops and winning
    • Darby gets jumped by KAZUCHIKA OKADA, LANCE ARCHER, and ROCKY ROMERO. WILL OSPREAY and SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY come in to make the save. Okada gets the upper hand on Ospreay and sets up for the Rainmaker but ADAM COPELAND now makes the save and they go into a strike exchange before Copeland hits the Impaler DDT. RICOCHET hits a Phenomenal Forearm on Copeland. Speedball cuts him off but gets a Spirit Gun for his troubles. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA hits him with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Takeshita picks up the belt but drops it when SAMOA JOE's music hits. They trade blows and Joe gets rocked before laying out Takeshita. Ospreay hits a Hidden Blade on Joe, who gets cut off by Okada. Okada goes for a Tombstone but drops him before Copeland spears him, causing Ospreay to get hit instead. Copeland eats a Rainmaker, Darby dropkicks Okada and hits a Coffin Drop onto half the roster.

  • "Protostar" KYLE FLETCHER (with Don Callis) def. EL PHANTASMO via pinfall in 11:11

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Lexy Nair backstage with the trios champions THE CONGLOMERATION. They're a bit morose about Briscoe's loss on Dynamite, and aren't sure when they'll see him again after the post-match attack. Big Tom is also out, but Willow will be back soon. Lexy asks about Lio Rush, and Roddy says it's fine and they're ready to defend the trios titles whenever. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA is now here. "I like Phantasmo, I want Kyle Fletcher, I hate Okada." Eloquently putted.
  • GABE KIDD voiceover promo reiterating that he is both a member of The Dogs and the Death Riders.
  • THEKLA townhall. She's still wearing Starlight Kid's mask and proclaims that Stardom is dead. Not sure how exactly that is.
  • SKYFLIGHT backstage, and they're adding MATT SYDAL to the group.
  • Nigel McGuinness apparently is entitled to one final shot at Lee Moriarty's Pure Championship, and says on commentary that if he doesn't succeed, he will give up his pursuit of the title.
  • DAVID FINLAY and CLARK CONNORS come out on stage after the eight-man tag, and the Bang Bang Gang are jumped from behind in the ring by WHEELER YUTA, DANIEL GARCIA, MARINA SHAFIR, PAC, and CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI. It's seven-on-six, and the bad guys come out on top. Finlay clubs White with the shillelagh.
  • Another WILLOW NIGHTINGALE return video package. She mentions how she won the Owen, but it was before it came with a world title opportunity. Once that was established, she lost in the finals. She intends to take the world title this year.
  • Ricochet has a mic after their trios squash, and addresses Matt Sydal, saying that what he has with SkyFlight is nothing compared to an actual brotherhood like The Demand.
  • THE OPPS are backstage, and Shibata, who's won 19 straight matches in Ring of Honor, wants the world title from Bandido. Hook still isn't giving Bowens anything.

RESULTS

  • JAKE SOMETHING (with Don Callis) def. ADAM PRIEST via pinfall
  • Tag Team: MERCEDES MONÉ & ROH Women's World Champion ATHENA def. HYAN & MAYA WORLD via pinfall, Athena over Hyan

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Bowens goes to superkick Orange, who ducks, and Shibata eats it. The Conglomeration team up and wipe out Bowens, and Roddy throws Orange onto Bowens to earn the pin.
  • THE DEMAND are backstage. Ricochet needs a new angle. LETHAL TWIST are here also and Ricochet tells Jay Lethal he likes his haircut and Jay says likewise. It seems like they intend to have a working agreement. Toa yells at the camera.
  • DEATH RIDERS plus WILL OSPREAY are backstage. Moxley seems real eager to target Swerve Strickland. Will tells Swerve "10 years of friendship. All for what? Nothing. That's the message you're gonna send to a guy with a double neck fusion surgery?" Will's openly concerned about the Vertebreaker, but he tells Swerve that it's not his house anymore; he's a squatter, occupying space on Will's road to Wembley.
  • The TRIANGLE OF MADNESS are here to reiterate that they want to light the Forbidden Door on fire. I'm not fully clear how beating Starlight Kid and Maika is going to achieve that but you know whatever I guess. Thekla seems convinced enough about it at least.
  • Lexy Nair backstage with DIVINE DOMINION and THUNDER ROSA. Rosa says she's not afraid of either of them, even alone. She adds that both she and Olympia embody the Mexican fighting spirit, and Lena remarks that for people with fighting spirit, they sure hide their faces a lot. Rosa tells them that her face paint means heritage, and Olympia's mask means culture, and they're not backing down. Rosa takes her jersey off and dares either of them to hit her; they walk away.
  • HIKARU SHIDA attacks Persephone after the latter's defense of her title. She locks in her ugly-ass new submission; KRIS STATLANDER, HARLEY CAMERON, and QUEEN AMINATA all run out to make the save, then stand off before it is determined that Persephone wins the segment.
  • GABE KIDD has a video package reaffirming his affiliation with the Death Riders--he says nothing of The Dogs--and that he wants to prove AEW's dominance over the other organizations in the Forbidden Door. Gabe's in Japan, and he wants Shota Umino when he gets back.
  • WILLOW NIGHTINGALE video package showing her training. After an injury that forced her to vacate the TBS title, there has still not been a new champion crowned and she's already making appearances again.
  • Athena pins Hyan off the O-Face, then she and Mercedes continue to attack Hyan, locking in a combination Statement Maker-half crab. Maya World thrust kicks both of them and hits an Asai moonsault onto the two. This might just come to a head tomorrow at Forbidden Door.

Andrew J. Brady Music Center, Cincinnati, OH

RESULTS

  • KENNY OMEGA def. BAD DUDE TITO via pinfall in 4:53
  • TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: HIKARU SHIDA def. "Real Deal" ZAYDA STEEL (with Christopher Daniels) via submission in 9:55
  • Tag Team: THE RASCALZ (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) def. AARON & AUSTIN ATLAS via pinfall, Zachary Wentz over Aaron Atlas, in 1:40

  • ROH Women's World Champion ATHENA def. TIARA JAMES via submission in 2:16
  • Tag Team: THE DOGS (David Finlay & "100 Proof" Clark Connors) def. YOUNG BUCKS (Matt & Nick Jackson) via pinfall, Clark Connors over Matt Jackson, in 16:06
  • TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: CMLL World Women's Champion PERSEPHONE def. JULIA HART via pinfall in 9:11
  • JAKE SOMETHING (with Kevin Knight) def. SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY via pinfall in 10:08
  • Cincinnati Street Fight: DEATH RIDERS (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, "The Problem" Marina Shafir, "The Bastard" PAC, Daniel Garcia, Claudio Castagnoli) def. SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS (Shane Taylor, ROH Men's Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, Carlie Bravo, Capt. Shawn Dean, Trish Adora) via pinfall, Jon Moxley over Shane Taylor, in 24:09
    • Distraction against Daniel Garcia by CHRISTYAN XO

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Kenny Omega disposes of Bad Dude Tito with the One Winged Angel, and he has a mic after the opener. He says a week ago, he asked himself what the next plan of action is to climb back to the top. It came to him: if he couldn't make it in time for the Owen, but Zack Sabre Jr. needed an opponent for Forbidden Door, and an opponent he will have. Kenny's still got his eyes set on MJF and the World title.
  • The National Champion MARK DAVIS is backstage with KYLE FLETCHER. Kyle says the reason Mark Davis isn't in the final of the Owen is solely that of Konosuke Takeshita. Fletcher compares Takeshita to a jealous ex-girlfriend, and he plans on taking a measure of revenge by bringing the International title back to the Don Callis Family. KAZUCHIKA OKADA is here, and he agrees. They shake on it. Davis says nothing this promo.
  • Hikaru Shida has forgotten how to do a stretch muffler but Zayda Steel taps out anyway. She continues to attack Steel after the bell, and Christopher Daniels has to get between them. Mike Posey is not really helping very much.
  • THE OPPS are backstage with Lexy Nair. Bowens cuts a promo about how it's Pride of Professional Wrestling Month and how Joe has told him to choose violence, and ends with his new standing ovation gimmick. This makes Hook really mad and he basically tells him to shut the fuck up because he's the new kid. Bowens is confused by this because Hook's been an asshole lately and Hook doesn't really give him much. Hook says The Opps aren't about applause but about violence which... kind of still lines up with what Bowens was saying but I don't really have much faith in Hook's listening comprehension. He tells Lexy to talk to him instead of anyone else when she talks to The Opps.
  • Dezmond Xavier has a mic after disposing of the Atlas Boys. They put over MYRON REED, their teammate who's got a match for the TNT Championship due up next.
  • Tony Schiavone tells us out of the break in this TNT title match that on Dynamite Wednesday, MJF and Mark Briscoe will pick their teams for the main event steel cage match at Forbidden Door, then those teams will compete in a traditional 12-man tag team match later on in the show.
  • Kevin survives a rapid-fire exchange with Myron and wins with the Crash Landing to retain the title.
  • DIVINE DOMINION video package. They're still looking for worthy challengers to their championships.
  • MAYA WORLD is out in the parking lot. She says on Sunday at 3 AM, she woke up to the news that her big brother, who introduced her to wrestling, had passed away. Tony Khan and AEW, she says, told her to take time off, but she refused because she felt she needed to be with her second family. After upsetting Skye Blue, she faces down Athena, who, she says, taught her everything that she knows: "if everything I know that you taught me comes back to bite you in the ass, that's on you." Maya's well aware of the improbability of her having this opportunity to begin with, and she doesn't intend to take it for granted.
    • ATHENA is backstage and she hasn't taken kindly to the words from Maya. She expresses condolences for Maya's loss, but she's also feeling pretty sorry for herself. She's never made it out of the second round of the Owen. "Just because I taught you everything that you know... doesn't mean I taught you everything I know."
  • Athena keeps attacking Tiara James after submitting her to the Koji Clutch, prompting Maya to run out and make the save. Athena powders, and leaves up the ramp, before suddenly running back out and now attacking Maya. Mike Posey is exactly zero help. That is now the second time tonight he has allowed this to happen.
  • THE DEMAND are backstage. Ricochet wants Takeshita and the International title.
  • David Finlay hits Matt Jackson with the shillelagh from the floor and Clark spears him, but Nick is able to break up the pin. He handles them both for a moment, but Clark gets him to the apron and spears him through the ropes. The Dogs hit Full Clip on Matt Jackson to pick up the win.
  • THE CONGLOMERATION--Kyle, Roddy, and Big Tom--are backstage and they're looking forward to the main event cage match at Forbidden Door. They're intent on securing Mark Briscoe's shot at the world title.
  • Tony Schiavone is trying to formally apologize to Stardom for Thekla's actions last week. THEKLA is now here and cuts him off and basically tells him to shut the fuck up. This crowd is eating this up, so maybe Stardom are the heels in this storyline. Thekla wants Stardom's "best girl" for a shot at the AEW Women's World title at Forbidden Door, and she calls out Taro Okada--the president of Stardom who she's publicly beefed with in the past--and says she'll buy him a first-class ticket to sit in the front row at Forbidden Door to see the monster he created.
  • The BANG BANG GANG are backstage. Austin Gunn calls out The Dogs, and declares that he spent the $200,000 they won as a team months ago on property in a strip mall and registered an LLC. Colten Gunn is just now finding all of this information out, and supposes that it explains why at home he's kept receiving mail referencing "Juice Robinson's Super Affordable Quick & Easy Kinda Reliable Spay & Neuter Center for Lost Dogs."
    • Juice, who was wearing shades, takes them off to reveal a second pair of glasses underneath and says that he handles all the procedures himself. "So guess what, Dogs? After you get snipped, and you're on the mends, you're both gonna get a cute little cone! Only problem with the cone is everyone knows you can't clean yourself." Juice now takes off the second pair of glasses. "But that's alright, cuz you can clean one another... and when Gabe comes back, you're gonna have to clean him, because he's gonna get the first appointment!!!!"
  • Persephone's staggered after Julia repeatedly focuses on her eyes. Julia has the mist prepped but Persephone quite literally slaps it out of her mouth, splattering it across the canvas. Persephone hits the Razor's Edge to win the match and advances to Survival of the Fittest.
  • THEKLA is backstage with Lexy Nair. We find out she'll be facing Starlight Kid at Forbidden Door. Thekla says she knows everything about her, and despises everything about her. She wants to make sure Starlight Kid's first time in AEW is her last. "The blood of Stardom will be on your hands."
  • SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY was backstage earlier tonight. They say earlier they watched their former friend Kevin Knight defend the TNT title alone. They intend to start taking out every member of the Don Callis Family one by one. Kevin Knight comes out with Jake Something and gets on comms. It's a matchup of former DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling tag champions tonight.
  • The Death Riders are coming in from outside the arena to head into this street fight, but they're jumped from behind on the stairs by STP and we're underway about as far from the ring as you can possibly be. I believe the bell rings but there's no audio from inside the arena besides comms.
    • Carlie and Shawn bury Claudio under a stack of metal railings as the rest of the fight makes its way inside the building. Mox is focusing primarily on Shane and Danny is matched up predominantly with Lee.
    • Everyone is brawling on the floor (minus Claudio) and they cut to the ring and Danny and Lee are just having an actual wrestling match. Lee and PAC proceed to just do rope-running drills for like 30 seconds.
    • Mox gets singled out in the ring by Shane, Carlie, and Shawn. Shane produces brass knuckles and clocks Jon in the head but they don't seem intent on pinning him and ending this as they continue to beat him down. Mox is busted open as the Infantry pick him back up for a second blow when Claudio suddenly rushes the ring and clears house. He manages to get a vertical suplex off on Taylor.
    • Claudio now charges Dean in the corner, but Trish gets in his way and dares him to hit her before chopping him. Claudio responds by dramatically removing his lucha mask as if to reveal that he was, in fact, Claudio. I'm not sure how it could have been anyone else. Shane bodies Claudio and hits the ropes but Claudio double legs him and tries to go for the Giant Swing. Trish chops Claudio in the back twice before selling her hand and Claudio slowly turns around. Trish chops him again before he cuts her off. She starts trying to beg off when Marina stomps her calf and basically commands Claudio to give her the swing. Claudio's initially reluctant to do it but eventually says fuck it and gets it into motion. Marina dropkicks Trish out of it and she and Claudio dap up.
    • Carlie Bravo commandeers a camera, walking over to Nigel McGuinness at commentary and throwing his water cup in his face. Lee tries to get between them when Danny suddenly charges Lee. Lee sidesteps this and Nigel gets clobbered by a running elbow. Danny's body language screams "ah, oh well" in response to this.
    • Mox, face still covered in blood, is attacking Lee over by the barricade. A child shouts "Moxley! There's children over here!" as Mox is fishhooking him. Jon's response is "hey, you gotta grow up sometime," and he resumes punching Lee in the head.
    • Out of break, Marina has apparently fallen victim to the Bronco Bustin' Cap'n. Carlie, Trish, and Shane are on the floor all yelling at the camera at the same time as behind them, Danny drags Marina out of the corner while Mox and Claudio set up a table in the ring. Shawn, who is still up on the middle turnbuckle, is also yelling at the camera when Claudio walks underneath him. Their eyes meet and Shawn starts begging for his life. None of the other three notice this, including Trish, who is now holding up money in front of her face. Shawn is screaming to get their attention before eating the stiffest powerbomb ever through the table which explodes. The other three are silenced by this and slowly turn back around.
    • PAC hits an Orihara moonsault onto Bravo and Taylor. Danny and Lee are now once again having a match in the ring as Trish clubs Marina in the gut with what appears to be the side of a rollerskate. Danny tries a Dragon Screw on Lee who stays put and tries to take an armbar; Garcia instead stacks up Moriarty and gets a 2 count. That is the first pin attempt this match.
    • The Death Riders run a train on Moriarty in the corner before a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Claudio and a dropkick from PAC to clear the ring. They proceed to do their ring around the rosie taunt, which Marina offers Mox to join. He evidently does not seem particularly interested and instead does a double bicep taunt. STP promptly charge the ring and clear house.
    • Shawn has set PAC up on a table at ringside as Trish hits a brainbuster on Marina on the ramp. Shawn proceeds to dive onto PAC from a platform in the crowd; the table only really half breaks and they both just die. Claudio is now attempting to hit some kind of powerbomb on Shane onto the ring stairs, which have been set up near commentary. He's intercepted by Lee who locks in an octopus stretch. Claudio responds to this by walking up the steps, onto the barricade, and hitting an Air Raid Crash through the timekeeper's table.
    • Danny turns Carlie inside out with a lariat in the ring. He picks him up for a piledriver but dumps him when CHRISTYAN XO walks out on the ramp and displays to Garcia her shirt which reads "DEATH RIDE DEEZ NUTS." The way Daniel decides that he's going to respond to this is by acting like he's going to do his hip dance taunt thing. He promptly gets cut off by Bravo taking a rear waistlock.
    • Carlie gets the brass knuckles back from Christyan and wipes Danny out with them. She then gives him a metal chair from under the ring; he sets it up and calls Shawn to get in the ring with him, where they hit dueling curbstomps on Danny onto the chair. Moxley breaks the ensuing cover up with a basement dropkick and double DDTs Carlie and Shawn.
    • Moxley has now produced an entire spare turnbuckle from underneath the ring, and I guess he intends to bash Shawn's fucking head in with it. Shane Taylor cuts him off and beats him down. Danny is busted open nasty style from the curbstomps. A "Cleveland sucks" chant has now broken out in the arena. With the assistance of The Infantry, Shane puts Moxley through a table next to commentary.
    • STP now turn their attention on Marina, who is isolated in the ring. She is also bleeding from the head. STP minus Lee have surrounded Marina in the ring, who proceeds to attack all three men before Trish Adora takes her fucking head off with Lariat Tubman. Carlie and Shane are now ripping Marina's boots and socks off her feet as Trish retrieves a bag of what is revealed to be plastic army men. Shawn has a bag of his own; this one has thumbtacks and glass shards. All three of The Infantry pick up Marina and drop her feet-first into the pile of sharp objects; Marina responds to this by grinding her feet into them and booting Trish in the head; Claudio double lines Shawn and Carlie, sending them to the floor, before press slamming PAC onto them and Shane.
    • Lee dumps Claudio over the top, then he and Danny once again go back to having a match. Moriarty locks in a Border City Stretch but Danny is able to grab a rogue shard of glass and lacerates Lee's hand with it to force him to break his grip. Danny takes over and locks in the Dragontamer. Shane Taylor comes in and takes Danny's head off; Marina jumps onto him jockey-style and Shane dumps her but gets met with an Ace Crusher from Moxley.
    • Moxley's decided this one's over. All four men in the Death Riders run a train on Shane in the corner and PAC levels him with his rebound lariat. Moxley hits Paradigm Shift and covers Taylor to win the match.

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Some miscommunications within Divine Dominion in the early goings of the opening match. They're still able to defend the titles successfully.
  • The DON CALLIS FAMILY are killing jobbers backstage. Trent and Rocky bury Takeshita and talk about all the nice clothes Don got them. Everybody dies. Jake Something grunts.
  • Lee Moriarty and The Infantry get to ringside and IMMEDIATELY go over to Nigel and start talking shit. Nigel says "Keep talking; you ain't gonna bite." Alan Angels goes for a springboard crossbody and Shane punches his fucking head off.
  • Shane has a mic afterward. He says for years the Death Riders have been the most violent group in AEW; their reputation has preceded them, and they've been willing to go further than anyone else. Shane says that all of that changes right now because as of right now STP is the most violent group in the company. Shane calls out Jon Moxley and the Death Riders and then goes and sits on commentary. He is breathing hard as fuck straight into the mic without hitting the mute button.
    • Nigel really cannot give up on the idea that he both deserves a shot at the Men's Pure title and that he is almost certainly going to beat Lee for it.
    • PAC has Carlie grounded and goes up top. Shane Taylor gets on the apron to distract referee Stephon Smith as Trish pulls PAC's leg to crotch him. Christyan then gets on the other end of the apron to distract him as Trish gets in the ring with a chair to attack PAC; she's cut off by MARINA SHAFIR and they brawl to the floor.
    • PAC takes the chair and goes into a tug of war in the corner with the ref, allowing all of the Death Riders to run a train on Carlie. PAC runs the ropes and hits his clothesline before locking in the Brutalizer to get a verbal submission.
  • Ciampa uses the Walls of Jericho to submit BEEF and then refuses to give them up. He knees BEEF to the floor and then puts him back in the Walls, tells Tony Schiavone to bring him a mic, and demands Tony tell the crowd that he's better than Chris Jericho.
  • TRISH ADORA and SHANE TAYLOR are backstage. They have killed WHEELER YUTA. Unlucky. Shane wants Mox in his hometown of Cincinnati next week.
  • DAVID FINLAY runs in to attack Juice Robinson while Clark distracts Stephon Smith, but Juice ducks the shillelagh and wipes him out with a nasty forearm. He goes for The Juice is Loose on Clark but Clark fights out and sends him to the ropes; Finlay hits him in the back with the shillelagh and Clark spears him for the win.
  • We get some words from people who are aiming to qualify for Survival of the Fittest for the TBS Championship, including HIKARU SHIDA, KRIS STATLANDER, MINA SHIRAKAWA, HARLEY CAMERON, QUEEN AMINATA, and ZAYDA STEEL.
  • JON MOXLEY and MARINA SHAFIR are backstage. Mox notes that Shane has gone to extreme lengths to get what he has, including, in his words, "merking young Wheeler." Mox says maybe he would have done the same thing in Shane's position, but only if he was 100% certain. "Because Shane, what happens if, when you get there, Continental Championship match, mano y mano, you are not who you thought you were?"
  • THE DOGS are backstage and call out the Young Bucks. Finlay takes umbrage with the Bucks saying they're next in line for the tag titles. They're ready to face the Young Bucks in Cincinnati.
  • Lexy Nair backstage with the defending trios champs THE CONGLOMERATION plus TOMOHIRO ISHII. RPG VICE are here to mockingly congratulate them. Rocky challenges Orange to face Andrade on Dynamite because he's never beaten him. Orange says "how you know" and that annoys Rocky.
  • Persephone, still recovering from being misted by Julia Hart a few weeks back, is selling her eyes and vision pretty heavily in the early goings of the main event here.
    • It's a highly competitive bout; Persephone gets a lot of offense in, but is unable to execute anything to put Hazuki away, namely her signature Razor's Edge. Hazuki hits several facebreakers but ultimately it's a La Magistral cradle that secures her victory; Persephone isn't even able to escape the pin after the 3 count.
    • Persephone and Hazuki shake hands and show respect to one another afterwards despite Persephone's intense frustration with her loss. Hazuki leaves up the ramp, and suddenly in the ring Persephone is attacked from behind by MERCEDES MONÉ, who's wielding the Owen championship belt that she left the arena on Wednesday with.
    • Mercedes puts Persephone in the Statement Maker and refuses to let go. That spurs Hazuki to run back down to make the save; Mercedes powders, but only for a moment as she turns around and now attacks Hazuki. Security pulls them apart before Hazuki dives from the ring onto Mercedes and the brawl is on once more.

    • First defense of the AEW International title this reign for Takeshita; improves to 11-2 in matches for said title all-time in career

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Ahead of the opening match, TOMMASO CIAMPA is here. He'll be on commentary through these first two matches and will later address his attack on Chris Jericho from Wednesday.
  • Before the opener, we go backstage where the Trios Champions THE CONGLOMERATION are standing by with KONOSUKE TAKESHITA. Roderick Strong asks Takeshita if he's good, and Takeshita thanks them for having his back on Wednesday. He addresses the Family, and says this is not over. Kyle tells him to let them worry about the Family so he can focus on Garcia and all four of them will remain champions. Orange hands Takeshita a backpack of his own.
  • Ahead of the opening match, TOMMASO CIAMPA is here. He'll be on commentary through these first two matches, and tells Tony and Nigel that he's on commentary because he expects Chris Jericho to try and enact revenge tonight. He doesn't want to allow that to happen backstage. Tony Schiavone tells him that Jericho actually isn't here tonight. Ciampa is mad that he came all the way to Huntsville.
  • Following TayJay's success at lasting the five-minute time limit against Divine Dominion, Ciampa has his townhall. He talks to Chris Jericho through the camera. He says he's going to address why he hates him; the crowd starts chanting "bald" at him and this makes him very mad. He produces a list of 1,004 reasons that he hates Jericho:
    • No. 1: Fozzy sucks. The crowd pops for this. No. 2: He hates Jericho's ring jackets. This is ironic considering the crazy ass jacket he's wearing right now.
    • No. 3: Ciampa hates the Jericho Cruise. No. 4: He hates Jericho's armbars. No. 5: He hates Jericho's full head of hair. The crowd again chants "bald" at this and Ciampa pitches a fit.
    • Ciampa says he's walked parallel to Jericho his entire career, and just because everyone else thinks Jericho's turned a new leaf, he knows better. "A snake is always a snake. Jericho, I'll see ya when I see ya." He goes to leave the ring and the camera focuses in on the list that's lying in the ring. Ciampa takes this opportunity to get back in and kick it around angrily like a baseball player kicking dirt.
  • PERSEPHONE is on commentary for this next match. She talks so calmly but the words that come out of her mouth are very dangerous. She's like the teacher in elementary school that you have who is legitimately terrifying when they get mad.
  • Nigel McGuinness is clearly hung up on the idea of beating Lee Moriarty for the ROH Men's Pure Championship. Shane Taylor on commentary basically tells him to shut up and fuck off.
  • Christyan XO grabs PAC's ankle from the floor then gets on the apron to start talking shit. This prompts Marina to get on the apron and just slowly walk toward her as she backs off up the ramp. Shawn promptly grabs PAC's ankle on the other side and pulls him to the floor and he and Carlie stomp him out. Mox is pissed to the point where he grabs a chair to back them off; Paul Turner is busy dealing with The Infantry so Shane Taylor comes over and knocks Mox's block off.
    • Mox and PAC start running a train on Shawn towards the end. Christyan XO's response to this is to get on the apron and try to distract Paul Turner. That ends up backfiring as instead Marina Shafir just gets in the ring and joins the train. Somehow Christyan doesn't even notice this and continues to argue with Turner.
  • Renee Paquette is backstage with the TRIANGLE OF MADNESS. Thekla won't let Renee get a word in, and says the only person in the Owen she's afraid of is Skye Blue. Skye tells her that she's been waiting for this chance, and she's going to take it. They start arguing and bowing up to each other before laughing and embracing. Mind games from the champion on the heels of another successful defense.
  • THE DOGS are here with more disposable cameras to do another 5-second pose. That is interrupted by the entrance of THE GUNNS.
  • JON MOXLEY is on commentary for the entire rest of the show, still in full gear with no shirt. Tony Schiavone tells him he just earned his 201st win in AEW; Moxley, as usual, is annoyed by the fact that people are keeping track of this.
  • Austin Gunn O'Connor rolls Clark Connors; the ensuing kickout sends Austin towards the rope, where he's met with a shillelagh swung by David Finlay. Stephon Smith doesn't see it, and he's out on his feet when Connors spears him to win the match. They try to continue to attack The Gunns but JUICE ROBINSON and ACE AUSTIN show up to make the save.
  • Following Willow Nightingale vacating the TBS Championship, Tony Schiavone tells us that over the coming weeks, there will be six head-to-head qualifying matches for AEW's first-ever Survival of the Fittest match to crowd a new TBS Champion.
  • After Jake and Brian kill some jobbers, KONOSUKE TAKESHITA's entrance hits as he comes out for his main event championship match. The entire crop of referees has to rush out to hold them back from attacking Takeshita, who holds the title up at the bottom of the ramp to taunt them.
  • Daniel Garcia spends most of the main event focusing on the left knee of Takeshita. At one point he starts doing push-ups on Takeshita's hurt leg instead of continuing to apply offense, which annoys Jon Moxley on commentary so much that he gives the headset to Marina so he can get up and go to ringside to yell at Danny to keep working the leg. Marina sits down and tells Tony, verbatim, "I'm just waiting for Daniel to put Takeshita's toe in his butthole." Takeshita gets Danny up for the Bastard Driver which elicits a frustrated "oh... my God, dude" from Marina. Danny then slips out and takes the left ankle of Takeshita. "In. The butt, dude," says Marina to this.
    • After Danny escapes the pinfall attempt from a Blue Thunder Bomb, Takeshita goes for the Power Drive knee, but his left leg buckles, and Danny curbstomps him.
    • This one's an instant classic, ending in Takeshita knocking Danny's block off with a forearm before hitting Raging Fire to win the match. Even Moxley is pleased despite his guy losing.
  • All five members of the DON CALLIS FAMILY we saw earlier tonight come back out to attack Takeshita after the match. Trent comes over to commentary to jaw with Mox, prompting him to take the headset off and confront him before he, Danny, and Marina are suddenly jumped by SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS. PAC and WHEELER YUTA sprint down to ringside through the crowd to provide reinforcements as SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY's theme hits. Bailey races down the ramp to the ring, joined by the trios champions RODERICK STRONG, KYLE O'REILLY, and ORANGE CASSIDY to provide backup for Takeshita.
    • Lee Moriarty throws Wheeler Yuta onto the announce desk before he and Carlie Bravo start taunting Nigel McGuinness. Nigel eventually decides he's had enough and lays out Bravo; Lee has to wrestle him back, and then Carlie separates Lee and Nigel. Danny comes over and starts attacking Lee.
    • The Death Riders, Conglomeration, Speedball, and Takeshita are able to fend off STP and the Family. It seems that there's a shaky but mutual respect between the Death Riders and the others.

DEVELOPMENTS

  • After Double or Nothing, Renee Paquette meets WILL OSPREAY backstage. She congratulates him on the win and he says his neck feels fantastic. He's heading to the trainer's room to ice his bicep. He sees KENNY OMEGA there, who wants to talk to him about his association with the Death Riders and Will looks taken aback by this. "My worry is that you can't trust those guys," he says. "You come back from a career-threatening injury, you had me by your side. I would do anything for you, Will. For you to realize your dream of being champion? There's nothing I wouldn't do--why didn't you ask for me? It would have been so easy for me to help you, Will."
    • Will retorts: "For sure, it would've been, if you showed up. Mate, with all due respect, you're not here." "I can't be here every week, Will." "Why not? This is the 'best that Kenny Omega's ever felt' for a while so why aren't you here, man?" Kenny says he lost his chance, presumably at the world title, and he can't rebound the way he used to, be it physically, mentally, or emotionally. "Again, I get the appeal to the Death Riders. They're serious. They mean business. They get the job done, so I'm not saying don't trust them... what I'm saying is be careful, as a friend."
    • JON MOXLEY walks into the room as Kenny says this. "It's good advice. We all... have our... skeletons. Don't we?" Kenny mutters, "yeah, don't we all?" Moxley hands Ospreay the ice pack he had set to the side, telling him the Death Riders truck is outside. "Look, I'll, uh... I'll leave you two to do your neck bridges or whatever it is that Death Riders do, but, hey--for real, anytime, call me." Kenny leaves, and Ospreay tells him not to give up on the world title.
  • Here comes the Jet. KEVIN KNIGHT is met with loud boos as he comes out looking literally exactly like The Rock. I mean, he's got the mannerisms, he's got the outfit, this literally is just prime Rock. It's unbelievable.
    • It's hard for Kevin to so much as get a word in over the "FUCK YOU, KEVIN" chants and the booing. "You know, I shouldn't expect anything less from you meathead sickos," he says. "Y'all gonna give some respect to The Jet when I got the mic, you hear me?" Knight shouts over "SHUT THE FUCK UP" chants. Kevin's here to explain his attack on Darby Allin. "I told Darby Allin not to let The Jet down. I told him not to let you people down! And guess what he did? He blew it." The crowd is now chanting "ASSHOLE" at Kevin. "Darby Allin blew it. Just like the Sixers did against the Knicks: he let us all down. Philly, I'm--I'm with y'all! I'm on your side! He let us all down." Kevin says he did what he had to do. "Who was the last person that MJF was looking up at? Who was the last person that humbled MJF? Me. The Jet."
    • Kevin thinks he should have had the main event at Double or Nothing, but instead he was in the back. "Do I look like a bench player to y'all? Am I not a highlight each and every time I step in this ring?" "I'm not here just to take part in AEW. I'm here to take over this whole damn company." [...] "When I first got here in this business, Darby Allin told me, 'don't waste any time.' So when I saw that he couldn't get the job done, I came out there, and I didn't waste any time leaving him in a pool of his own blood with The Jet standing right there on top of him."
    • SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY's entrance hits, and they're walking with purpose down to the ring. "Kevin, I hear what you're saying, but I know you. I know how ambitious you are, and that's your best and your worst quality. The reason we work so well as a team is because we both want to be the best. But Kevin, you're impatient. You get ahead of yourself. And you make mistakes. And what you did to Darby Allin at Double or Nothing? That was a mistake. But we can fix this. If you apologize and own up to what you did, we can make things right." Speedball holds their hand out, saying "be a man. Own up to what you did. You know it's messed up. Do the right thing," and Kevin's considering this. He goes to take Speedball's hand but instead just shoulder checks and walks past them before suddenly turning around and decking them with the microphone. Kevin's got the same reaction he had after he attacked Darby. He goes to leave the ring, but changes his mind, instead grabbing Speedball by the wrist and hitting the craziest fucking Rock Bottom ever.
  • Renee Paquette is backstage with THE DEMAND. She tells him he's beaten Jericho twice with the Rico-sault, but at Stadium Stampede, Jericho got the pin off the Lionsault. Ricochet says he's not concerned with Jericho and that he got lucky at Double or Nothing. Bishop Kaun interjects and says that he won because the opposing team mugged him 7-to-1. Toa says it's a travesty that he and Bishop can't come to ringside tonight. Ricochet tells Jericho that it's not that he doesn't have his guys, it's that Jericho doesn't have six other guys to save his ass when he has him beat.
  • Jericho beats Ricochet with a string of a Codebreaker, Judas Effect, and Lionsault unanswered. His post-match celebration is interrupted by TOMMASO CIAMPA rushing the ring and attacking him from behind. Ciampa chokes him out and beats him down before hitting him with his signature running knee.
  • The IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion ANDRADE EL ÍDOLO is backstage. He says that now that the Stadium Stampede is over, he can focus on the world title. "MJF, do you think you are better than a real Latino man?... How you know?"
  • This 4-way match is happening just because. I'm not sure any of these guys necessarily need the money but we're working. Lio Rush is still a freak.
    • Orange doesn't really know what to make of Lio, and frankly he doesn't really want to touch him.
    • Late in this match, Orange hits a tope tornado DDT on Brian Cage. Suddenly, LANCE ARCHER and ROCKY ROMERO come out of the crowd. It's a 4-way so there's no disqualifications. Orange wipes out Rocky and Lance but suddenly gets clobbered from behind by a returning JAKE SOMETHING. RODERICK STRONG and KYLE O'REILLY are here to brawl with them, including Brian Cage, all the way to the back. Lance basically kidnaps Orange. This 4-way match has effectively become a head-to-head affair between Lio Rush and RUSH.
    • RUSH has brought back the green wire to choke Lio with.
  • Renee Paquette is backstage with MJF. He's got the Triple B around his shoulder and is dragging the regular world title on the floor. He's wearing some fucked up shit. This interview is interrupted by KEVIN KNIGHT. Max says he wanted to thank Kevin for attacking Darby because he says he knows Kevin did it to show respect to the biggest star in the company. Kevin stops him as he tries to leave and tells him he didn't do anything because of MJF, he did it because Darby blew an opportunity that should have gone to him. He reminds Max that he still very much intends to dethrone him.
    • Kevin now runs into KYLE FLETCHER, who eyes the TNT title. DON CALLIS is here and the literal first thing he says when he sees a Black man is "so much young athleticism in one place" which you know really checks out for Don Callis. Don tells Kevin that if he ever wants to get serious about becoming "Jet Two Belts," he and Kyle are around.
  • Renee Paquette is backstage with the BRAWLING BIRDS. Jamie says her loss is water off a duck's back and reminds Renee that she did take Thekla's head off. She reaffirms that next time she will take the title. Alex Windsor has her quarterfinal match in the Owen next week against a wild card opponent, and she addresses Willow, saying that when she's back healthy, she's ready to throw down. Windsor says she's been preparing for this her entire career. She gasses up Will Ospreay as well.
  • It is time for the MJF townhall. He is being carried out on a palanquin and drops the normal world title belt in a garbage can. MJF says in the history of major promotions since the 1800s, only eight men have ever been three-time world champions at age 30 and tells the crowd they should feel fortunate to be witnessing it. He does the Rainmaker pose as a banner that says "3x World Champion" falls from the ceiling with confetti.
    • MARK BRISCOE's theme hits as he walks down to the ring and tears the banner down. "Friedman!... lookin' at you standin' here in this city... man, you like a stranger in a strange place... what I'm sayin' is you don't fit in here, Max. It's kinda like if a-if a *penguin* was wanderin' through the desert... and I'm not talkin' about one of those exotic South American beach penguins..." Mark says that some of the toughest people in the world are in Philadelphia, and Max sticks out like a sore thumb because tough he is not.
    • Briscoe reminds MJF that it wasn't long ago that he pinned him in the middle of the ring, and he wants a title shot. Max says no because AEW isn't just a sport, it's a business, and it's bad enough that an "emo freak" like Darby Allin "even sniffed" the title. Max says if Briscoe challenged for the title, it'd put the company out of business.
    • Max goes to leave but as he gets to the stage RUSH's tron hits. RUSH already wanted a world title match if Darby retained. "You are not a fighting champion!...a no eres, cabrón. And it's too funny that's a chicken farmer, but you? You're a chicken... SHIT!" RUSH says he's nearly beaten Max before, and he wants his title shot. Max says he agrees that if anyone's earned a title shot, it's RUSH, and he's more marketable than Mark Briscoe. RUSH will get his match on Dynamite next week.
  • JUNGLE JACK PERRY is in the Jurassic Express. He's 1-1 with Mark Davis, but the stakes are higher than ever because a world title shot in the line. LUCHASAURUS slams on the brakes in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, known colloquially as the Rocky Steps, and wants Jack to go climb them. This leads into a dramatic training montage with Luchasaurus as his trainer. Luchasaurus also drinks a cup full of egg yolks gross style.
  • Claudio and Brody beat the fuck out of each other. This match is like 95% strikes. Last minute or so, Brody picks up Claudio into powerslam position but Claudio slips out and uppercuts him in the back. A rolling lariat from Brody is intercepted and Claudio uppercuts Brody's front. He ducks a line and springs back off the middle rope; Brody catches him and hits the ropes himself only for Claudio to nail him on a pop-up uppercut. Claudio's staggered, though, and Brody beasts it and wipes Claudio out on a meaty lariat to get the 3.
  • It is time for the CAGE & COPE townhall. Christian tells the crowd to sit down and shut up while he conducts business and Adam tells him to stop. "What did I say that was so bad, huh? What, it's not like I banged any of their mothers... actually, maybe I did." Christian straight up does not get why the things he says might be disapproved of by the crowd.
    • He addresses FTR, putting them over but reaffirming that they are, in fact, better than FTR. Adam says that FTR agreed to an "I Quit" match with two guys who, between them, were retired for a combined 16 years before getting their careers back. It's time for the 5-second pose, or at least Copeland says. Cage refuses so Adam rallies the crowd. Christian tells him that they don't even "make flash photography anymore" so Adam goes out and retrieves from under the ring a sack full of disposable cameras that he says he bought 20 years ago. He hands them out to the crowd and they're about to do the pose when CLARK CONNORS and DAVID FINLAY attack both of them. Finlay beats Christian's injured arm with the shillelagh before crushing it under the ring steps. David chokes out Edge with the shillelagh before Connors spears him. They then do their own five-second pose after Connors announces their intent to take the tag titles.
  • PRINCE NANA is backstage with SWERVE STRICKLAND. He tells us that Swerve is taking the Owen and going back to the main event at Wembley. Swerve congratulates Brody. He says he gets a sentimental feeling when he sees Brody succeed, because without Swerve, nobody would know Brody's name because he broke Brody into the industry in 2016. He says he doesn't care how Bandido's doing; all that matters is that millions of people watched what he did to him and couldn't look away. "One thing I learned about making money in this country, right: conflicts creates cash. War makes money. And Brody... I plan to make a lot of money with you."
  • We get a picture in picture pretape with DIVINE DOMINION during TAYJAY's entrance. "Welcome back. The clock is ticking: not for how long your match is, but to see how long we let you stay alive. Tick-tock, TayJay."
  • SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY is backstage. They say Kevin Knight made his choice: he heard what they had to say, they offered him their hand, and he attacked them in return. "Is that the road you wanna go down? Well, so be it. We can walk down it together, just on opposite sides. So how about me and you, one on one? You wanna show the world who you really are?"
  • Mark Davis knocks Jack Perry to the floor from the apron and is content to sit on the top turnbuckle and let Perry get counted out. This pisses Taz the fuck off because he's doing it in Philadelphia to the point where he takes off his headset and literally yells "STEALIN' MY GIMMICK!" directly at Davis.
    • This match gets three segments. Heading into the second break, Davis gourdbusters Perry as hard as he fucking can on the apron. The impact of Perry's legs against the ropes literally knocks his shoes off. Mark proceeds to take Jack's socks off and stomps on his bare feet repeatedly.
    • Perry gets Davis in a front guillotine on the top rope and proceeds to literally snap suplex him DDT-style from there. He's able to hit a piledriver on Davis for a 2.9. Perry also survives the rebound lariat at 2.9.
    • Perry's got Mark back up top but this time inadvertently crotches himself because he's not used to navigating the ropes shoeless. Davis uses this opportunity to kill Jack with a spinning piledriver off the second to win the match.
  • Renee Paquette gets in the ring with Mark and Don, who has something important to say. He reminds Will that he was in the Don Callis Family and thought he was the Chosen One. He never was, and neither was Konosuke Takeshita, he says. The only Chosen One in the Family is KYLE FLETCHER who is now here to make his entrance with ROCKY ROMERO.
    • Kyle embraces Don as Rocky taunt spams and then shakes Davis's hand because he doesn't know what else to do. Kyle says he came back from his torn meniscus and twice-broken leg in under two months because he's a genetic anomaly. There was something else that pushed him to get healthy, though: he wanted to be the man to cut loose the dead weight of the Family.
    • "I have been trying to hold this family together for the better part of a year, when Konosuke Takeshita has tried to drive a wedge between us. And the second that I was out of the way, he did what he always does: what's best for him. You see, Konosuke Takeshita, he never cared about the Family. Takeshita never cared about me. And the sad thing is, I really wanted to sit atop the wrestling world alongside Takeshita! ProtoShita running the whole world! But now, that is never going to happen, because Konosuke Takeshita is a selfish PRICK."
    • KONOSUKE TAKESHITA's theme hits, and the new International Champion is here. Kyle is goading him on, but suddenly THE CONGLOMERATION--O'Reilly, Strong, Briscoe, and Cassidy--come out to back Takeshita up. They slowly walk to the ring and get in, promptly Fletcher, Romero, and Davis to vacate the ring. Takeshita grabs the microphone left behind and says he's got his title back. "Now... Kyle Fletcher... I... want... YOU!"
  • WILL OSPREAY is backstage ahead of his trios match with Moxley and PAC against the Rascalz. He congratulates Mark Davis on advancing to the semifinals. "Hey, our history is very well-documented. You was in the United Empire with me, you lived in my house for a year and didn't pay me any rent, but what's documented is you are the one guy who has [won] a match with a doctor's stoppage. That doesn't sit right with me, because I was at 50% when I wrestled you last. Now, baby, I'm a hundred percent, and there is nothing--I mean nothing--stopping me from going to Wembley Stadium, bruv!"
    • JON MOXLEY, PAC, and MARINA SHAFIR are now here. Mox is jumping. A likely thing for him to do. Mox fist bumps Ospreay, and Will offers the same to PAC, telling him good luck. Marina reaches over and intercepts the fist bump, but PAC doesn't take it, blowing him off. Ospreay fist bumps himself. The Death Riders turn and walk away, but Ospreay is right by the stage. "My entrance is this way, guys!"
    • If Ospreay never fully joins the Death Riders, it is going to be because he is far too extra to give up his entrance. Mox, PAC, and Marina still enter from the crowd.
  • Moxley and PAC hot start on Wentz and Reed and fight them to the floor. Ospreay is surprised by this, evidently unaware of the game plan, and he and Xavier go to work in the ring instead. Ospreay's style shift is noticeable, going into an international with Xavier and just booting him out of the air when Dezmond tries to leapfrog him.
    • Ospreay takes a wristlock on Xavier and backs towards the corner where he's looking for a tag from Moxley, but PAC instead tags himself in. Ospreay looks confused at the treatment and Mox just pats his shoulder. PAC tags in Moxley not long after.
    • Marina is basically serving as the coach this match, making calls to all three men on her team. The Death Rider team starts running a train on Myron in the corner that Will gets in on, and he and PAC start clicking with a tag team whip to Moxley who hits an Ace Crusher. Ospreay and PAC boot Dezmond and Zachary off the apron before hitting stereo topes con giro. Myron somehow kicks out of a piledriver.
    • Ospreay double stomps the left arm of Reed being held by Moxley off the top before doing his La Mística setup move to ground him. Wentz charges Ospreay with a round kick but Ospreay boots Wentz in the gut into a rear body lock from Moxley in the corner. Xavier now goes for the Kardiak Kick on Ospreay but Ospreay goes low and back bodies him. PAC takes the Brutalizer on Dezmond. Will throws a kick at Myron who catches it but Ospreay takes over into Death Ground. Myron taps out the moment Ospreay gets into full extension. Tony Schiavone says this is the 200th win for Moxley in AEW.
  • THE OPPS are backstage. Joe says they stand in opposition of anyone who stands in their way, and they provide opportunities for men who deserve them. "Once again, opportunity calls, and Hollywood's ringing." Joe is going to be gone for a few months, presumably filming Twisted Metal.
  • Lexy Nair is backstage trying to get a word with TAYJAY. She instead runs into DIVINE DOMINION. Lena says "that only lasted 30 seconds"; Lexy turns the corner to reveal Tay and Anna, who have been Killed.
  • Andrade goes to take a selfie with a woman in the front row. He takes the phone to take a front shot so I guess she wraps her arms around his neck and walks forward and literally pulls her over the barricade to do this. She is confused but they take the picture anyway and then he picks her up and sets her back over the railing.
    • Ace Austin, seated in the corner, cuts off Andrade by dodging the meteora, going up and hitting a spinning gamengiri. Austin wants the Fold but Andrade intercepts him with the murderous back elbow and hits the DM to win the match.
  • Main event time on Collision. It's an unsanctioned street fight between Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida, between whom tensions have boiled over. Shida starts the match swinging for the fences with her kendo stick but Kris boots it out of her hand.
    • Shida and Statlander fight into the corner of ringside. A fan tosses Shida an apple, which she catches and hits her in the head with before doing 10 punches in the corner with it. Shida now somehow has gotten a second apple and stuffs it in Kris's mouth before hitting a round kick to the side of her head. Kris powerbombs Shida on the floor.
    • Kris and Shida brawl into the tunnel of the entranceway and this makes the crowd very unhappy because they can no longer see them. Statlander gets up a metal barricade against a chair and tries to suplex Shida but Shida counters and does it to Stat instead.
    • Shida lays out Kris on the stage and walks backstage once more. She emerges riding a bicycle, which she proceeds to run over the fingers of Statlander with. Taz says that happened to his friend Joey Tuccalomundo as a kid. Shida then just discus throws the bicycle into Kris's head and Excalibur compares that to Kiryu from Yakuza. Kris kicks out at 2.
    • Shida tries to enter a Duel of the Fates with Kris. The issue here is that Shida has her kendo stick and Kris has a whole-ass chair. That ends poorly for Shida.
    • Shida hits a Falcon Arrow for a two count but Kris, in the action of kicking out, fully kips up to her feet and this is horrifying to Shida, who gets fucking decked in the face by a thrown chair. Kris has produced a table on the commentary end of ringside. Shida, on the other end, is Assembling the Structure with chairs. While she does this, Kris tries to do the Strowman Express spot and gets drop toe held into a chair. Shida wants to suplex Kris into a set of four chairs but Stat counters and DVDs Shida onto them.
    • Kris now produces a bundle of three light tubes. Shida begs off, pleading for mercy. Kris relents and sets them down, less out of pity but evidently more out of a feeling that it's simply too much work. As she turns back around Shida immediately rakes her eyes and then cracks the bundle of light tubes across Stat's back. Another Falcon Arrow is still only good enough for a 2 count.
    • Kris's lower back has been opened up badly and it's not helped by Shida starting to whale on her with her kendo stick. Shida wants to pillmanize Stat's neck vertical style but Stat throws the chair into her face. They fight to the apron next to the set-up table; Shida grabs a different kendo stick and swings it at Statlander and hits her in the side but Kris tanks it, ripping it out of her hands and snapping it over her knee before digging the splintered ends into the forehead of Shida before hitting Staturday Night Fever off the apron through the table.
    • Kris rolls Shida back into the ring. HARLEY CAMERON is now running out from the back and hands her Shida's special kendo stick. Stat cracks Shida across the back and hits a second Staturday Night Fever to win the match. Harley gets in to celebrate with Kris, but Statlander remains a bit aloof. Shida looks furious.
