Recap of AEW Collision, 21 Feb 2026

===AEW Collision 21 Feb 2026===

Frontwave Arena, Oceanside, CA

RESULTS

  • AEW World Trios Championships: JET SET RODEO (Hangman Adam Page, "The Jet" Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey) (c) def. THE DEMAND (AEW National Champion Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) via pinfall, Hangman Adam Page over Ricochet
    • Distraction against Ricochet by JACK PERRY
    • First defense of the AEW World Trios Championships by Jet Set Rodeo
  • Tag Team: YOUNG BUCKS (Matt & Nick Jackson) def. THE SWIRL (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) via pinfall, Matt Jackson over Blake Christian
  • CMLL World Heavyweight Championship: CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI (c) (with Marina Shafir) def. JOSH ALEXANDER (with Lance Archer) via pinfall
    • Distraction against Claudio Castagnoli by Lance Archer
    • Fourth defense of the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship by Claudio Castagnoli
  • "The Megasus" MEGAN BAYNE (with Penelope Ford) def. B3CCA via pinfall
  • Trios: DON CALLIS FAMILY (Konosuke Takeshita, El Clon, Mark Davis) def. DEATH RIDERS (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, "The Bastard" PAC, Wheeler Yuta) (with Marina Shafir) via pinfall, Konosuke Takeshita over Wheeler Yuta
  • THUNDER ROSA def. JULIA HART via pinfall
  • Men's World Tag Team Championship Eliminator: THE RASCALZ (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) (with Myron Reed) def. AEW Men's World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) via pinfall, Zachary Wentz over Dax Harwood
    • Distraction against Cash Wheeler by YOUNG BUCKS

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Straight into the trios title match tonight. Hangman has cute checkered-flag tights tonight that match Jet and Speedball.
  • JACK PERRY's tron hits near the end of the opener. He comes out on stage, just stands there while Ricochet yells at him and taunts him, and then Hangman lays him out with the Buckshot Lariat for the win. 2K Universe Mode ass sequence
  • THE RASCALZ are hotboxing again in the locker room. They have new shirts. FTR are here, Cash is mad that they're smoking the Devil's lettuce, and Zach tells them he's Christian. Cash says he wishes they won the no. 1 contendership so they could whoop their asses at Revolution. Dezmond is down to fight them right now, but FTR don't fight for free, so Zach's ready to make a match for tonight. Cash isn't about to give out a title shot to "losers," so Dezmond says they'll just make it an eliminator. Myron wants to do rock paper scissors again, but Zach tells him he and Dezmond are undefeated as a tag team and cites the "betting odds." The match is made during the second match.
  • Backstage, JAY LETHAL says that he's tired of everyone saying that Blake Christian and Lee Johnson are the future when he knows they're the right now. This is also Kevin Knight's angle.
  • After House of Glory No Turning Back last night, during which MJF successfully defended the title against Zilla Fatu and in which ANDRADE EL ÍDOLO interfered, MJF storms into the locker room after the match irate. Andrade has taken umbrage with MJF handing out title shots to indie wrestlers when everyone in AEW has to fight to get one. If MJF wants to hand out title shots, Andrade says, just give one to him.
  • Claudio has fucked up his knee in this CMLL World Heavyweight Championship match and Josh is targeting it extensively.
    • Claudio is setting up Josh for the Neutralizer, but Lance Archer gets on the apron. Marina Shafir steps up next to him. Lance is yelling at her which allows Claudio to boot him off the apron, but Josh now grabs Claudio in a rear waistlock and Germans him.
  • Megan Bayne has a standby match. It is against B3CCA, which I only find out because comms say it. Arkady Aura literally never announces her.
  • Lexy Nair backstage with TOMMASO CIAMPA, who says it's been 24 days since he got here, 21 days since he became the TNT Champion, and 10 days since he lost the title. Ciampa's not happy that Kyle's still in Australia as if he's not still coming after the belt. Ciampa wants Fletcher to know that he wants "Silvie" back.
    • During this promo, Ciampa adds that when Mark Briscoe returns, he'll be happy to share the ring with him, friend or foe.
  • Mark Davis gets in the ring with a chair, apparently willing to get himself disqualified, but Marina Shafir saves the day by stealing it from over his head. She spits in Mark's face and flips him off before Claudio catches him with a Cactus clothesline.
  • Takeshita starts jawing with Marina after the match, which prompts Moxley to get in his face. They start chirping each other. Davis jumps Moxley and Yuta jumps Takeshita, but both immediately get thrown out, and Mox gut kicks Take and lays him out with the Paradigm Shift.
  • Lexy Nair backstage with the BABES OF WRATH, and Willow wants to know what it's going to take to get Megan, Penelope, and Lena Kross out of their hair. Willow's willing to defend her titles wherever she needs to.
  • The new women's champion THEKLA is in the crowd and is ready to cut a promo calling Thunder Rosa a stupid bitch. I think this is her entire gimmick. She's done with the promo, Julia Hart tries to jump Rosa in the ring, and KRIS STATLANDER cuts her off.
  • PRIVATE PARTY have a party going backstage in the tiniest room ever. THE OUTRUNNERSDALTON CASTLEBANG BANG GANG, and ANTHONY BOWENS are there. Bowens is in the cuck chair. Zay and Quen come in and say they have some bad news, Truth Magnum says the real bad news is that there's no women at the party, and Bowens yells "HELL YEAH" and everyone just kind of stares at him. Quen says "they" are trying to shut the party down, but Zay says that it's a Saturday night in San Diego so that ain't happening. Private Party are ready to take on any tag teams that want to fight.
  • Out of break, GABE KIDD is here with CLARK CONNORS and interrupts Tony Schiavone. He really wants you to remember that he's MENTAL!!! and he's CRAZY!!!! and he's not done with Darby Allin but now he's gotta deal with Orange Cassidy so next week he's going to kill Orange Cassidy. Don't know if that'll be backstage or in a match.
  • During the commercial break in the main event, Dax tags in but the ref doesn't see it, so as Brandon Martinez is chastising him, Dezmond rolls up Cash for a visual eight count but Martinez doesn't get it until it's too late.
  • Tony Schiavone tells us that Swerve Strickland has been fined $100,000 for his conduct on Wednesday and was suspended for tonight's show. I don't think he was planning on coming to Collision anyway.
  • Myron Reed gets trucked by Cash Wheeler outside the ring. Cash puts on Myron's ski goggles and tries to piledrive him but can't get him up. Meanwhile, the Young Bucks are now here at ringside. Cash is pushing them back with the threat of a steel chair, but it leaves Dax exposed two-on-one in the ring to the Hot Fire Flame. Zach pins Dax before Cash can break up the pin, and the Rascalz have beaten the world tag champs clean in an eliminator and have claim to a shot at the AEW Men's World Tag Team Championships.
  • The GATES OF AGONY now jump both the Bucks and Rascalz from behind and start beating them down. Meanwhile, FTR are jawing with Malachi, the brother of the Young Bucks, at ringside. They literally grab him over the barricade, shove down the Bucks' mom, and throw Malachi into the ring. JACK PERRY tries to come down to help but gets jumped on the ramp by RICOCHET. Because they need their heat back, they hit a spike piledriver on Malachi in the ring lol and the show ends with FTR and The Demand all talking shit at the bottom of the ramp

RESULTS

  • 4-Way for the TBS Championship: AEW Women's World Tag Team Champion WILLOW NIGHTINGALE (c) def. MARINA SHAFIRMEGAN BAYNEMINA SHIRAKAWA via pinfall, Willow Nightingale over Mina Shirakawa, in 11:15
    • 2nd defense of the TBS Championship this reign by Willow Nightingale
  • Tag Team: "Freshly Squeezed" ORANGE CASSIDY & NJPW Strong Openweight Champion TOMOHIRO ISHII def. "War Ready" GABE KIDD & CLARK CONNORS via pinfall, Tomohiro Ishii over Clark Connors, in 10:01

  • AEW World Trios Champion KEVIN KNIGHT (with Speedball Mike Bailey) def. ROH World Tag Team Champion THE BEAST MORTOS via pinfall in 8:45
  • SWERVE STRICKLAND (with Prince Nana) def. KENNY OMEGA via pinfall in 20:15

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Show opener has us hearing from MINA SHIRAKAWAWILLOW NIGHTINGALE, MEGAN BAYNE, SWERVE STRICKLAND, and KENNY OMEGA ahead of all of their matches tonight.
  • Renee Paquette asks ORANGE CASSIDY before the show what his plan for his tag match tonight is after Roderick Strong walked out on him last week and no-showed this week. Orange says there's always someone stepping up in the Conglomeration: it's the return of TOMOHIRO ISHII to face off against Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors.
  • During the opener, we find out that Kevin Knight faces The Beast Mortos tonight. If Mortos wins, La Facción Ingobernable receive a shot at the AEW World Trios Championships.
  • Mark Davis busts his hand open disgusting style on the ring post during the opener and might have broken it. Moxley spends much of the middle of the match focusing on it.
  • Following Grand Slam Australia, we hear from HANGMAN ADAM PAGE, who says that Andrade's effort was not good enough, and that he is going to end MJF to take the championship at Revolution.
  • God fucking damn it FTR are here for an unscheduled townhall. They talk for like four hours about the YOUNG BUCKS, who are now here, they lay out Dax and Cash, and then superkick Stokely. The Bucks want their title match at Revolution, which means FTR get to go another month without defending the belts. Awesome
  • After Grand Slam Australia, BRODY KING is backstage with BANDIDO who laments that he was as close as he was. Brody says he can taste it now, and that he's not going to sit around feeling sorry for himself--next week on Dynamite, Brody re-enters the world title hunt.
  • Everyone is banned from ringside in the 4-way for the TBS title. Penelope comes out with Megan in her full ring gear anyway. Megan also hits a fucking disgusting Frankensteiner on Willow before the break.
  • Commentary eulogizes Kerwin Silfies heading into break. Danielson is visibly emotional about the passing of the long-time WWE producer at age 75 on Tuesday.
  • Hangman and MJF face-to-face meeting in the ring. They've agreed to no physicality. MJF opens by declaring that he hates Hangman and everything about him, but more than anything, he hates that Hangman holds two wins over him. MJF says that maybe Hangman's in his head because he's had the opportunity to be "the guy" twice, and both times he's crumbled under pressure. MJF reaffirms that he thinks Hangman's a lucky shot, but says he's all out of bullets. Hangman's not having it, and reminds him that MJF waited to use his Casino Gauntlet contract until he could insert himself into a 3-way to "collect the spoils of greater men." He says he hates MJF so much more than MJF hates him because when he looks at him, he has to admit that he's never met someone more like himself. They share a desperation for love and acceptance and a desire to make their mark in AEW, and both of them have always needed the AEW championship as much as everyone else wants it. Hangman says he wants to end their feud for good at Revolution and that it simply can't be just a normal wrestling match and tells MJF to come up with a stipulation. MJF is now getting heat by screaming about how it's going to be a regular singles. Hanger tells Max that he's scared because he knows what this could mean for him, and offers, if MJF agrees to this, to never challenge for the Men's World Championship again if he loses. MJF immediately agrees, but hasn't decided on a stip yet and needs a week. Hangman makes his decision known: Texas Death.
  • JON MOXLEY backstage, and he says that the strength of the "woof" is the pack. He adds that he doesn't really likes woofs. PAC challenges the Don Callis Family to a fight on Saturday. Mox says he's not done with Takeshita either, and he wants him at Revolution without a time limit.
  • Roderick Strong has, apparently, not been seen or heard from since walking out on Orange Cassidy last week.
  • Late in the match, Ishii is showing signs of a lower body injury, either in his hip or his hamstring.
  • DARBY ALLIN arrives as Gabe Kidd is chopping Orange Cassidy on the barricade and clubs him in the back with his skateboard before dragging him off.
  • JOSH ALEXANDER, LANCE ARCHER, and ROCKY ROMERO are killing people again. DON CALLIS now arrives to accept Moxley's challenge. KAZUCHIKA OKADA is here and says that he's Kyle's best friend, and unlike Takeshita, he showed up to work because he's a champion instead of staying behind in Australia to celebrate with Kyle. ANDRADE EL ÍDOLO reminds us that his eyes are firmly on the AEW World Championship, and as EL CLON noclips into the scene, Don takes umbridge with the way Claudio Castagnoli carries himself. Clon wants a shot at the CMLL World Heavyweight title.
    • Addendum: For some reason it is Josh Alexander challenging and not El Clon. Idk man
  • HOOK says that he's sent Shibata to recruit for The Opps internationally while he handles their affairs stateside.
  • The Brawling Birds' finish is a Hart Attack called Two Birds One Stone.
  • Renee Paquette backstage with KRIS STATLANDER and a returning THUNDER ROSA. Stat isn't medically cleared to wrestle, but she's still looking for a fight and isn't done with Thekla. Thunder Rosa just got cleared today and she hasn't appreciated what the Triangle of Madness has been up to. Stat warns her that Thekla is dangerous and Rosa says some stuff in Spanish I couldn't translate but I bought into it.
  • Opening of Mortos-Knight has the crowd chanting "HE'S OUR LAWYER" for Mortos. Mortos for shoot passed the bar a couple months ago. We also get "HE WILL SUE YOU" chants. Mortos later hits a tornillo, then picks his nose and rubs it on the camera lens.
  • Another WILL OSPREAY video package. He says that this isn't where the "best" wrestle--this is where the Billy Goat wrestles.
  • THE DEMAND backstage, and Ricochet says he's ready to move on from Jack Perry and get GOA some gold. Bishop is pissed that Jet Set Rodeo haven't been defending the Trios titles, and Toa is ready to take them off them on Saturday in San Diego. There's a throwing knife wedged into the door of their locker room.
  • MJF is watching the main event Deadlock style.
  • Swerve is set up for the V-Trigger and starts complaining to referee Aubrey Edwards about his shoulder. Aubrey leans in to look at Swerve, unaware of Kenny charging, before Swerve yanks her in by her wrist and she gets clobbered with the V-Trigger. She's out cold. Swerve fights out of a One Winged Angel attempt with a Victory Roll and a House Call, then obliterates Kenny on the apron with a Swerve Stomp. He takes the cover off the bottom turnbuckle and lands a Decapitator before another Swerve Stomp in the ring. Paul Turner is now here and makes the count, but Kenny kicks out at 2.9.
    • Kenny ducks a House Call and hits another Snapdragon, a knee lift to the back, and a Poisonrana before going for the OWA again which Swerve fights out of. Big boot from Swerve, another knee from Kenny, Swerve on the second rope but Swerve counts a V-Trigger with a standing House Call and Big Pressure to put this one to bed.
    • Swerve now jumps Kenny shortly after the match before launching Paul Turner out of the ring. Nana for some reason just keeps the big ass chain with him and Swerve chokes Kenny over the ropes. Kenny collapses to the floor as Swerve clears off the announce desk and sets up the ring steps next to it. Swerve puts Kenny through the desk with the Vertebreaker and starts repeating "I NEEDED THIS" into the camera.

  • AEW Men's World Championship: MJF (c) def. BRODY KING via pinfall
    • Third defense of the AEW Men's World Championship this reign by MJF

DEVELOPMENTS

  • Takeshita kicks out of the Death Rider in the opener. Down to 30 seconds, each man takes the other's head off several times, but as Takeshita is scrambling to get Moxley up for Raging Fire, the 20-minute time limit expires. Moxley retains, but both men are extremely frustrated; they start scuffling again after the match before Takeshita is able to get Moxley up for Raging Fire successfully. This rivalry is far from over.
  • After Dynamite, we hear KRIS STATLANDER who says she was made for that championship and that she still has more blood to give. THEKLA says she walked right into her trap, and she walked out as champion. Stat says she had everything Thekla wanted; now, she'll be everything she doesn't. "Karma isn't a bitch: it's a Cosmic Killer."
  • Harley hits a fucking Destroyer on Megan Bayne
    • Harley pins Penelope off a backslide to retain. As the champions are celebrating, LENA KROSS gets in the ring and lays out Harley, before Megan spears Willow. MegaBad, now joined by Lena, grab the belts and pose in the ring.
  • We get a pretape from RICOCHET, who addresses Jack Perry. He says that in Vegas, they say that you have to know when to hold and when to fold. Jack should fold soon, or else "something very bad" will happen to him.
  • Andrade gets a picture with a very pretty woman in the front row in the opening minutes of the no. 1 contendership bout. Hangman then potatoes him and also takes a selfie with her. There are also separate "TAKE YOUR PANTS OFF" and "WE WANT PANTS OFF" chants in this match. Hangman promptly hits a fallaway slam into the barricade.
    • Hangman hits the Deadeye on Andrade in the waning minutes of this bout. Don Callis gets on the apron to distract referee Aubrey Edwards as Hangman goes for the Buckshot Lariat; Andrade tries to intercept him with a low blow, but Hangman blocks that and kicks Andrade square in the balls before landing the Buckshot to win the fall. Page is headed to Revolution, but who his opponent will be is yet to be decided.
  • This mixed tornado tag match gets started hot, as Toni jumps Marina and Orange jumps Yuta and we go straight into crowd brawling. Yuta, who has a lock of Mina's hair woven into his, hits a piledriver on Toni on a stack of roadie boxes. Luther, in an old-timey barber outfit, carries her off through the tunnel. Out of the break, Toni comes marching back out through the entrance way despite Luther's objections and takes out Marina with several German suplexes.
    • Orange hits Beach Break on Marina and goes for the pin. Yuta is staring at Orange and almost hesitates to break up the pin. Commentary theorizes he was thinking about letting Marina get shaved lol
    • The crowd is now chanting "YUTA'S A SHIT CUNT." Yuta promptly accidentally takes out Marina with a Busaiko Knee. Orange takes her out with a tope, and they run a train on Yuta until he eats a Storm Zero and gets pinned. MINA SHIRAKAWA brings out the stool. Yuta tries to powder, but as he exits through the crowd, he's rebuked by JON MOXLEY who tells him to get his ass back in the ring and go through with what he committed to. Mox stands in the corner of the ring as it's happening, just kind of embarrassed for Yuta's sake lol Marina is also holding Yuta's hand for emotional support. They only really take off the top part of his hair before Orange's theme hits. I guess Orange wins this segment
  • After Dynamite, Kyle Fletcher thanks KAZUCHIKA OKADA for not getting involved in his TNT Championship match and asks him to do the same at Grand Slam. Okada obliges, and they shake hands declaring that they are Protokada. Fletcher also comes out in this match wearing some insane shit on his head. I don't know if it's an Australian thing.
  • Mark Briscoe has shown up to take as many evil bumps as possible in this match like a psychopath. I don't even know how to really recap this match you kinda just have to watch it. Mark hits a Jay Driller through a ladder, Froggy Bow diagonal style onto a ladder, Kyle hits a brainbuster off the top of a ladder.
  • Even in Australia, the crowd is chanting "FUCK ICE." It's gonna be hard to stop this train.
  • Brody hits a traditional Mother F'n Bomb on MJF in this match it was awesome MJF also hits the kangaroo kick on Brody
  • The story this match is that Brody tweaked his knee attempting a Cannonball early in the match and MJF is working on that leg.
    • MJF has a sleeper cinched in deep. Referee Bryce Remsburg is taking his sweet time making the three arm-raise count and now BANDIDO, who we haven't seen since Maximum Carnage, is at ringside to scream at Brody to never give up. Brody gets his arm up at 3.
    • MJF goes to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring as Brody gets to his feet, but Bryce Remsburg knows it's coming and intercepts it. Brody takes Max's head off with a forearm. Brody cinches in the sleeper and MJF goes limp. The Gonzo Bomb connects... but MJF kicks out. Commentary says it's the first time anyone has ever escaped the move.
    • MJF escapes another sleeper hold on the apron from Brody who's seated on the top rope by attacking his weak knee. He gets Brody into tombstone position and lays him out on the apron with a bodyslam before hitting the Heatseeker DDT for the win.
  • HANGMAN ADAM PAGE is here to confront MJF after the latter's defense. Page is next up for the title at Revolution. The two stare down, exchange a few words, Hangman signs his contract for the match, and MJF holds the belt up before Hangman feigns a punch and MJF begs off.

DEVELOPMENTS

  • KENNY OMEGA and SWERVE STRICKLAND townhall to start the show with Tony Schiavone. Swerve up first; he hearkens back to Kenny's reign with the AEW title and how people called him the "God of Professional Wrestling." He says that everyone outside of AEW was scratching and clawing to get into the company to face off with Kenny, himself included. He finally arrived in 2022, and two years later, he became the world champion, but by then, Kenny was nowhere to be seen. Multiple times in this segment Swerve reiterates the "Most Dangerous Man in AEW" moniker. Swerve says that while Kenny, who he deems a "false prophet," was gone, the "congregation" started looking for someone else to follow. He accuses Kenny of exercising his EVP powers to insert himself into title contention, and says that if he does so to leapfrog Swerve, Swerve will put him down.
    • Kenny's turn here. He affirms that he never called himself the "God of Professional Wrestling," that it was a title the fans bestowed upon him; that he never asked for their adulation, but still they gave him their belief, and that he takes that as a great responsibility. For the crowd to believe in him on his one final journey to the world championship, he says, Swerve might have the crowd believing it's Swerve's house, but if he's questioning Kenny, maybe the lights are on in that house and nobody's home. He calls back to Hangman burning down Swerve's home. Kenny reiterates that he feels that he is championship material, but he's getting there the right way--by earning wins, and if Swerve hadn't interfered last week, he might have earned that chance at the title already. I will editorialize a moment and say that Kenny was still, minimum, two wins from the title even if he won last week. I digress.
    • Kenny wants a fight. He knows Swerve doesn't respect him, and if he wants the match, he's got it. Swerve says Kenny's scared because the younger generation is lapping him. He reiterates the Most Dangerous moniker once more and Kenny cuts him off, saying that the real most dangerous man is Brody King. Big pop from the crowd for that one. Swerve threatens to put Kenny back in the hospital and Kenny very lightly slaps him. Swerve says whatever happens next is on Kenny and the brawl is on. We do some crowd walking brawling, Kenny throws Swerve into the LED screen and hits a V Trigger on him and goes for a One Winged Angel but Swerve slips out and tackles him off the stage through a table. Security finally breaks up the brawl.
  • Renee Paquette backstage with KYLE FLETCHER and Don Callis. Don Callis says that there's no pressure on Kyle--they apply the pressure. Kyle asks Don to let him do it on his own, and Don gladly obliges.
  • Claudio, Danny, and Yuta all do the little Mariners circle dance before the opening match for some reason.
  • Kyle Fletcher, immediately after his victory, tells Renee Paquette that he will be defending the title in his hometown on Saturday, and that it doesn't matter who it is. It's MARK BRISCOE's time, and he congratulates Fletcher. Their career record with one another is 3-3, though, and Mark is ready to answer the challenge. Fletcher makes it very clear that he is tired of seeing Mark, but seeing as he did say he'd take any comers, he accepts the challenge. Fletcher's not done, though--if Mark wants to reach for the sky as his theme says, he'll have to do it for the TNT Championship in Sydney in a LADDER MATCH. Mark pops for this crazy lol
  • We get a video package featuring WILLOW NIGHTINGALE** and HARLEY CAMERON, the Women's World Tag Team Champions, who must defend their titles against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford at Grand Slam Australia. Harley feels that since this time last year, thanks to Willow, she's proven that she's more than just the girl with the guitar or the girl with the puppet.
  • Picture-in-picture promo before Garcia/Connors vs. Cassidy/Strong with the heel team, and Connors says he's hired some help in the form of Danny. This match is happening because the Conglomeration wanted to step up for Darby Allin; Danny addresses Roddy, saying "ain't you tired of hanging out with a bunch of losers?"
  • Roderick Strong is way behind Orange Cassidy during their entrance, and then blows past him when he does come out.
  • Jon Moxley on commentary for this match. He says the Death Riders are friendly with the War Dogs in New Japan and that he would do anything for Gabe Kidd, so if Kidd (and by proxy Clark Connors) needed a favor, they were happy to step in. He also says that while he respects both Strong and Cassidy as people and athletes, he does not respect them as a team. "I think Roderick Strong likes Orange Cassidy. I think he likes Mark Briscoe, all the guys in the Conglomeration, he just don't like being told what to do...What is it, 'familiarity breeds contempt'? These guys spend a lot of time around each other. Can you imagine spending that much time around Orange Cassidy? He's gotta do things that can get under your skin."
  • Orange finally gets to the corner to make a hot tag, but Roddy drops off the apron and walks out of the match Universe Mode style. Mox is loving this.
  • The 2-on-1 disadvantage is neutralized not long after when DARBY ALLIN jumps Clark Connors from the crowd and drags him off. Orange counters the Dragontamer into a roll-up and gets the pinfall. Garcia is irate with himself.
  • TONI STORM's music hits and we see her up in a suite with Luther. Toni says she's made peace with her life choices, and that if Marina pins her at Grand Slam, then she deserves to have her head shaved, but she's determined to make it work. On the other hand, if Toni beats Marina, "I will shave your head so close to your skull, they will put a price tag on you, and sell you at Spirit Halloween." She addresses Wheeler Yuta, calling him an "annoying little shit," and now WHEELER YUTA himself is here on the stage. He calls out MARINA SHAFIR, who comes out from backstage dragging MINA SHIRAKAWA in the Mother's Milk choke. Danny jumps Orange in the ring to prevent him from breaking this up, as Yuta brings out a pair of scissors and cuts off Mina's ponytail, screaming "this is not a joke" at Toni. Toni sprints out of the box to get to Mina, but she's much too far to get there in a timely manner.
  • After Dynamite last week, we hear from Don Callis and ANDRADE EL ÍDOLO, who challenges Hangman at Grand Slam for the no. 1 contendership to the world title. Don tells Andrade he beat Kenny Omega, and Andrade corrects him, saying they beat him. Andrade addresses Hangman in Spanish, saying that he's in his way of getting gold. We also hear from HANGMAN ADAM PAGE, who says that he thought, wanted, and needed to face Kenny at Grand Slam, because he wanted to know he could beat the man he once beat for the title on his way to a third reign. Hangman tells Andrade in Spanish "don't take your pants off in Australia."
  • JETSPEED are backstage, and with Hangman preoccupied with the men's world title, and Kevin having just beat a former TNT Champion in Scorpio Sky, they're ready to focus on singles gold.
  • The wild card team in the tag match is revealed to be the returning PRIVATE PARTY. Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen are back in AEW.
  • The Bucks win the no. 1 contendership, so of course, it's time to hear from FTR. Dax is here to say nothing of import, he tries to do the thing where he fake interviews Matt and pulls the mic back but immediately gets superkicked. Cash gets laid out too, and then they go fuck with Stokely for a bit. That segment really was not important.
  • WILL OSPREAY pre-tape. He says what he lives for is knowing that he can wrestle again. He's ready to answer any questions there might be about his return... when he does return.
  • BRODY KING and MJF hype package for their match on Saturday. It just recaps what we've seen already.
  • Bryan Danielson on commentary tells us that the leather strap being used in the main event is actually the same one used when he faced Ricky Starks in 2023, and that it still has his blood on it.
  • Near the end of the match, Statlander hits Thekla with a tombstone piledriver after tangling the latter's arms in the strap. Before she can go for the cover, SKYE BLUE gets on the apron to distract referee Aubrey Edwards while JULIA HART gets in the ring and swings at Kris. Kris ducks the line and whips her and Skye, but is preoccupied when Thekla charges and spears her. She then ties Kris' hands behind her back and curbstomps her for the 3 count.
  • The Sisters of Sin beat down Kris after the main event, and now the BRAWLING BIRDS, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, are here to make the save. Even in a world title feud, we can't help but be reminded that the women's division is really only ever given one storyline at a time.
